
Energy FC Win Final Regular Season Match and Secure Home Playoff Game

OKLAHOMA CITY - A 1-0 win by Energy FC over Arizona United SC in their final regular season match assured the team of a top-4 finish in the Western Conference and clinched at least one home match in the upcoming USL playoffs. The win also moves Energy FC to the top of the standings in the Western Conference.
Energy FC will host a match at historic Taft Stadium on either Saturday, September 26 at 7 p.m. or Sunday, October 4 at 6 p.m. Playoff seeding will be determined and announced following the completion of all league matches.
Daniel Gonzalez would provide all the offense for Energy FC when he headed in a lob by Chuy Sanchez in the 41st minute of play. Goaltender Evan Newton made eight saves for his 10th clean sheet of the season.
The top six teams in each conference make the postseason. The first round sees the #3 seed host the #6 seed and the #4 seed host the #5 seed. Winners of the first-round matches move on to face the #1 and #2 seeds. The #1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed.
