Emily Christy named Assistant General Manager

Vero Beach, FL— The Vero Beach Dodgers announced today that Emily Christy has been named the team's Assistant General Manager according to General Manager Trevor Gooby.

"Emily has been an outstanding staff member for us during the 2004 season," Gooby said. "I am glad that she will continue on with us and she will thrive in this new position."

Emily is a 1998 graduate of Princeton University. She began working for the Vero Beach Dodgers as an intern during the 2004 season. Christy also served as business manager for the Gulf Coast Dodgers. Prior to working for the Dodgers, she ran the New England Women's Baseball League in Massachusetts. Christy's other work experiences include managing a cancer research lab at MIT and working for the District Attorney's office in New York City.

"After having a great experience as an intern, I am thrilled at the opportunity to stay with the Vero Beach Dodgers," Christy said. "I look forward to serving in this new role for the upcoming season."
