
Elks Fall to Top Speed

Ryan Eddy scattered ten hits over 6 2/3 innings to lead Top Speed to an 8-5 victory over the Bend Elks in a non-league collegiate baseball game at Vince Genna Stadium Wednesday evening.
Eddy, who suffered the loss in the 11-10 12 inning Elks' win on Tuesday, earned his fifth win of the season for Top Speed, ranked tenth in the nation for collegiate wood bat summer teams.
Justin Erlandson led the Elks with three hits, an RBI and a run scored. Cole Ferguson and Curtis Wildung chipped in with two hits each.
Six Elks' errors led to four unearned runs for the visitors.
Bend travels to Cowlitz for a West Coast League three game series Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the Black Bears. All games start at 6:35 pm.
The Elks return home on Friday, July 25 for a three games series against Wenatchee.
