
Elks announce First Additions to 2013 Roster

Bend, OR February 5, 2013 -As announced by the Bend Elks Baseball Club and Head Coach Joe Dominiak, Adam Grantham and Tanner Ring are the first additions to the 2013 Bend Elks Roster.
Adam Grantham is a Freshman pitcher from Kennett, Missouri, coming to the Elks after being drafted in the 32nd round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Atlanta Braves.
In High School, he starred on the mound and at the plate, but will be used as a pitcher at Arkansas State. His senior year, Grantham hit .364 with 3 HRs and 25 RBI, while also compiling a 7-1 record with a 1.42 ERA on the mound, including a perfect game in the Bootheel Conference Championship Game on May 3, 2012.
Grantham is going to be joined on the Bend Elks in 2013 by Tanner Ring.
Ring, hailing from Batesville, Arkansas, hit .486 as a high school senior, earning all-state honors in 2011 and 2012. On the mound, Ring composed a 9-2 record with a 0.98 ERA, compiling 11 complete games and 7 saves.
Additional Signings for the Bend Elks in 2013 will be announced in coming weeks.
