El Paso Santos of the Pecos Soccer League to Play at Cohen Stadium

EL PASO, TX - Cohen Stadium will host El Paso Santos Soccer as a part of a new league. The Pecos Soccer League will play its inaugural 2012 season with the following teams: Hatch Chile Kickers, Alamogordo Stealth, El Paso Santos, Roswell Aliens and Juarez Juventus. The season will consist of eight regular season games with a championship game on April 15, 2012. All teams will play home and away with all other teams in the league. Games will only be on Saturdays and Sundays. The league will observe FIFA rules and laws with amendments to accommodate team stadiums that are not to full regulation. The league is not currently sanctioned with US Soccer. Opening Kickoff is February 19th at Roswell, NM and Hatch NM.

The Roswell Aliens will play five home games and three road games. They will play their home games at Cielo Grande Soccer Complex in Roswell New Mexico. The Aliens are coached by Ernesto Rangel and will wear Bright Green Jerseys. Roswell is the only city to have a team in both the Pecos Soccer League and the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs.

The El Paso Santos will play 5 home games in Cohen Stadium in El Paso Texas. The Santos are operated by Franklin Sports Group and will wear red jerseys and are coached by Mike Lopez of FC Dallas-El Paso.

The Juarez Juventus will play five home games and three road games. They will play their home games in Cohen Stadium in El Paso Texas. The Juventus are operated by Alejandro Del Campo and their club consists of players from Juarez, El Paso and Soccoro. They will wear Navy Jerseys.

The Alamogordo Stealth will play eight road games in the 2012 season. They will wear Royal Blue Jerseys and consist of players from Holloman Airforce Base, The German Sundowners and Mesila Valley Soccer League.

The Hatch Chile Kickers will play five home games in Hatch New Mexico and three road games. Miguel Salcedo will be the general manager of the team and Ryan Hefley will be the coach of the team.
