Ejov named QMJHL's Defensive Player of the Week

St. John's Fog Devils goaltender, Ilia Ejov, was named the QMJHL's Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending, Sunday, December 4th.

Last week, Ejov started all 3 games for the Fog Devils and posted a 3-0-0 record, a 2.33GAA and a .922 save percentage. His weekly highlight was a 31 save performance in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads. Ejov was also named a game star in 2 of the 3 contests.

For the season Ejov has appeared in 18 games and has a 7-8-0 record, a 3.62GAA and a .887 save percentage.

Brandon Verge was also named the QMJHL Defensive Player of the Week during the first week of the season.

The Fog Devils next home series is Friday, December 16th and Saturday, December 17th when the club hosts the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League.
