Eistrat, Romanchych Agree to Two-Year Contracts

(Rochester, NY) - Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has re-signed forward Pent Eistrat and defenseman Curtis Romanchych to two-year contracts, pending league approval.

Eistrat, 24, enters his second professional season with the Knighthawks after spending the 2022-23 campaign under a two-year contract with Rochester. He was on the practice squad last season with the club.

The Toronto, Ontario, native had 27 points (11+16) in 70 career games over a five-year collegiate career at Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) from 2018-2022. He helped the Tigers to back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships in 2021 and 2022.

During his tenure with the Tigers, he was twice named a USILA Honorable Mention All-American and was also a Second Team All-Liberty League selection in 2022. Additionally, he was a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection in each of his final three seasons.

The 6-foot-0, 175-pound forward collected 125 points (51+74) in 48 games with the Mississauga Tomahawks while also posting 11 points (2+9) in five playoff contests. Additionally, he tallied 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points with the Brampton Excelsiors in 2019. In 10 postseason contests, he registered 18 points (6+12).

Eistrat was a fourth-round selection (50th overall) of the Knighthawks in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft.

Romanchych, 24, returns to Rochester for his second season having spent the 2022-23 campaign with the Knighthawks on a two-year contract. He was on the practice squad last season with the club.

During his NLL debut with the Albany FireWolves on Feb. 18, 2022, he recorded one loose-ball recovery.

The Aurora, Ontario, native played two seasons in Junior 'A', totaling seven points (2+5) in 20 combined games between the Orangeville Northmen and Toronto Beaches. He notched seven assists in seven postseason games with Orangeville during the 2019 playoffs.

Romanchych was originally a fourth-round selection (67th overall) of the Toronto Rock in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft.
