Edmonton, July 5, 2004 â The Edmonton Aviators Men (2W-6D-4L) play their thirteenth game of the season on July 7th (8pm MST) against the Seattle Sounders Men (6W-2D-7L) at Seahawks Stadium.
Seattle finished the 2003 regular season tied with Minnesota for third place in the A-League with 52 points from 28 games played. They finished second in the league in goals for, scoring 45 goals, while surrendering only 24 (second best in the league).
With last season's leading scorer and top goaltender gone, Seattle will be looking for other players to step forward. Kyle Smith (4 goals, 1 assist), Roger Levesque (3 goals, 4 assists), Jason Farrel (2 goals, 2 assists), and Welton Melo (7 goals) have been the top offensive threats for the Sounders so far this season.
Preston Burpo has been solid in net this season surrendering just 16 goals in 14games.
Seattle currently sits in fourth place in the Western Conference with 20 points from 14 games played (as of July 3).

This is the third of four meetings between the Aviators Men and the Seattle Sounders this season. The first game was played on May 8 in Seattle and ended in a 1 â 1 draw. The second game was in Edmonton; Seattle won 1-0. The final meeting between the two teams will be on August 2 in Edmonton.
