New York Boulders News Release
DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Rockland Boulders OF Jerod Edmondson (pictured) and Rockland Boulders RHP Bobby Blevins have been named this week's Pointstreak Hitter and Pitcher of the Week.
Edmondson hit safely in every game this week, extending his hit streak to 11 games. In Rockland's six games this week, the outfielder delivered four multi-hit games. Edmondson also drove in seven runs and contributed four extra-base hits. His best performance came on Saturday, when he went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Blevins secured wins for the Boulders in both of his starts. On Tuesday, the right-hander held the New Jersey Jackals to two runs over seven innings. His next start, however, was more impressive. Blevins pitched a complete game at Trois-Rivieres on Sunday night. He gave up one run in the ninth inning, but that was all. Blevins struck out five Aigles batters and surrendered only six hits to pick up the complete game victory.
