Edmondson, Bicondoa Named Players Of The Week

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has selected Pittsfield Colonials INF Jerod Edmondson and Worcester Tornadoes RHP Ryan Bicondoa as the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.

In six games, Edmondson hit .520 with four home runs and 10 RBI. He collected 13 hits, scored eight runs and walked three times. Edmondson also had an on-base percentage of .571 and a slugging percentage of 1.080. In the doubleheader sweep of the New York Federals Friday, the Johnson City, NY resident had six hits in eight at-bats, including two home runs, scored three runs and drove in four.

Bicondoa had a 1-0 record with a 2.81 ERA in two starts this past week. In 16 innings pitched, he allowed eight runs, five earned, on 17 hits with only three walks and fanned 21 batters. The resident of Phoenix, AZ gave up an earned run on six hits with nine strikeouts in Worcester's 6-2 win over the Rockland Boulders Tuesday.
