
Edinburg's Webb named Rawlings Player of the Month

Durham, NC -- Edinburg's Ryan Webb was selected by SportsTicker as the Rawlings Player of the Month for June. Webb joins teammate Ryan Harris as the second Roadrunner to earn Player of the Month honors.
Webb, who will start in the July 20th All-Star Game in Fort Worth, Texas, hit .402 last month, including an astounding 49 hits in 26 games. In addition, he scored 29 runs, had nine doubles, hit two home runs and drove in 10. Webb, who had an on-base percentage of .430, stole 13 bases in June.
Originally selected by the Angels in the 2001 draft, Webb played two seasons of affiliated baseball before signing with Elmira of the Northeast League in 2003. With the Pioneers, he hit .266 with 72 hits, 30 RBI and 28 runs scored.
