Edinburg beats Colts again in game two 6-2

San Angelo Colts News Release


On Tuesday, the Colts would try to send the tough Coyotes and a message. However, they have had the Colts number all season and would get them again beating San Angelo 6-2. The Colts sent out their southpaw Mark Goodman against right-hander Neomar Flores for Edinburg.

The Coyotes really got all the runs they would need in the third when they sent 10 men to the plate and pounded out seven hits and 5 runs and took a 5-0 lead. It became 6-0 when Jose Olmeda leadoff the fifth with a homerun on the first pitch from Quinn Monsma, his 17th of the year. The Colts finally got on the board in the seventh when J.J. Sherrill's double drove in Kevin Bass and it was 6-1. The Colts scored a run in the ninth on an error to make it 6-2 but that would be as close as they got and lose by that same final.

Wednesday, the last day of the 2006 regular season the Colts will try to avoid the sweep against the Coyotes as the go at it again in game three the final game of this three game set. San Angelo sends out right-hander Trey Keoppel against southpaw Bric Steed. You can hear all the action starting with the pre-game show at 6:50 PM and the first pitch at 7:05 PM on COOL 100, KCLL 100.1 FM.
