
Aces, Dillas to Try Again Wednesday

Amarillo, TX; August 22, 2006 - The Alexandria Aces' doubleheader against the Amarillo Dillas Tuesday night was cancelled due to wet field conditions resulting from rain Monday night and Tuesday morning in the Amarillo area. The teams will play a doubleheader at Potter County Memorial Stadium Wednesday. The doubleheader will consist of two seven-inning games and will start at 6:05 p.m.
The series closes the regular season for both teams. Alexandria is currently in third place and has already clinched a playoff spot. Amarillo is currently in fifth place, trailing fourth-place Laredo by 1.5 games. The series was originally scheduled for three games, but the third will only be played if it is required to determine playoff positioning.
