Edge Sign Isaiah Tate II for Remainder of 2018-19 Season

St. John's, NL - The St. John's Edge announced today that the team has signed Upper Marlboro, Maryland native Isaiah Tate II for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

Tate II, 6'4" 210lbs, is a product of George Mason University (NCAA D1). Recently, Tate was a part of the Moncton Magic of the NBLC to begin the 2018-19 season but was released on January 28th. Prior to his release, in 20 games, he is averaging 10.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, in 20.9 minutes. Tate II is shooting 43.1% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range.

During Moncton's visit to Mile One Centre on Opening Weekend, Tate II was instrumental in the Magic's two victories over the Edge. In Game one he scored 17 points on 6-for-11 shooting and in game two he scored 24 points on 7-for-12 shooting.

The St. John's Edge are happy to welcome Isaiah Tate II to the organization. He will be joining the team on the road and will make his first appearance at Mile One Centre when the team returns on February 15th.
