ECHL Announces Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Sunday that Bakersfield's Hans Benson has been suspended for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game # 229, Bakersfield at Stockton, played on Saturday, Dec. 10.
Benson received an instigating penalty with 31 seconds remaining in the third period of the game. He is suspended under Rule 46.11, which states that any player deemed to be the instigator or aggressor of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation, or at anytime in overtime, shall be automatically suspended from his team's next game.
Benson will miss Bakersfield's game at Stockton tonight.
