ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Idaho, Ontario fines and suspensions
The following fines and suspensions are all a result of ECHL Playoff Game #E-3, Idaho at Ontario, on April 6.
Idaho's Matt Case has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions.
Case is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline, as the result of an illegal check to the head of an opponent.
Case will miss Idaho's next three games, starting with tonight's playoff game at Ontario.
Ontario's Benn Olson has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions at the conclusion of the game.
Olson was assessed a fighting major under Rule #46.13 at 20:00 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Olson will miss Ontario's playoff game against Idaho on April 7.
Idaho's Kory Scoran, and Ontario's Geoff Irwin and J.D. Watt have each been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their actions at the conclusion of the game.
Scoran, Irwin and Watt are each fined under Rule #28 Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Elmira's Gazley, Cowick fined
Elmira's Dustin Gazley and Corey Cowick have each been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their actions in ECHL Playoff Game #A-4, Reading at Elmira, on April 6.
Gazley is fined for his actions during the third period of the game, while Cowick was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #46.5 - Continuing Altercation, at 20:00 of the third period. Both players are fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
