Victoria, BC- The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the team has agreed to terms with 2007 ECHL All-Star Milan Gajic (pron: GUY-ch).

The 6-foot, 180-pound centre finished second in team scoring last season with 65 points (24 goals, 41 assists) in 63 games. He also led Salmon Kings forwards in plus/minus rating (+9), and garnered two four-point games and four three-point games throughout the season.

"Milan has superb offensive abilities and was instrumental in our race to the playoffs last season," said Dan Belisle, Vice-President of Hockey Operations and General Manager. "We are looking forward to helping him train for another opportunity at the next level."

Gajic was called up to the Manitoba Moose (AHL) in December 2006, and earned five points in five games with the club, including a three-point night in a 4-1 victory versus the Peoria Rivermen.

Before joining the Salmon Kings last season, the Atlanta Thrashers fourth round 2001 NHL entry draft pick played 41 regular season games for the Gwinnett Gladiators (ECHL) and posted 58 points (25 goals, 33 assists). He also earned ECHL Rookie of the Month for February and posted 19 points in the Gladiators journey to the 2006 Kelly Cup finals.

Prior to his pro debut, Gajic tallied a team-leading 98 points (46 goals, 52 assists) in just 50 regular season games with the Burnaby Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) in 2000-2001, and spent four seasons with the University of Michigan Wolverines, notching 115 points (53 goals, 62 assists) in 158 career games.
