Eastern Conference Finals Begins this Friday and Saturday at Pan Am

INDIANAPOLIS-The Eastern Conference Finals of the 2014 USHL Clark Cup playoffs will pit the Eastern Conference champion Indiana Ice (42-11-7) against the defending Clark Cup Champion Dubuque Fighting Saints (33-23-4). Games one and two are this Friday (4/25) and Saturday (4/26) at 7:05pm from Pan Am Pavilion.
The Ice eliminated the Green Bay Gamblers in round one of the playoffs three games to one behind the stellar goaltending of Jason Pawloski who tossed back to back 1-0 shutouts in games three and four on the road in Green Bay. Sam Kurker (G, 3A) and Matt Roy (2G, 2A) led the Ice with four points in the first round series, while Patrick Newell chipped in with three goals.
The three-seeded "Saints" upset the two-seeded Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in their first round series three games to one as forwards Seamus Malone (2G, 4A) and Robby Darrar (4G, A) combined for 11 points and Kevin Reich compiled three wins between the pipes.
Indiana was 3-1-0 against Dubuque in the regular season series and was led offensively by the duo of Dwyer Tschantz (3G, 5A) and Scott Conway (5G, 2A) who combined for 15 points. Jason Pawloski had two of the three wins in net which also included a 2.35 GAA and a .926 SV%. Seamus Malone and Shane Eiserman registered four points apiece to pace the "Saints" offensively, while Benjamin Johansson had the lone win in goal.
Tickets for the Clark Cup playoffs, presented by Ivy Tech, remain the same at $15 for reserved seating and $10 for standing room only and can be purchased on Ticketmaster or through the Indiana Ice office at (317) 925-4423.
