
Earthquakes Sign Spanish Forward Mikel Arce

San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, CALIF. -- The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the team has signed Spanish forward Mikel Arce to a developmental contract. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Arce, 24, has spent the past eight years playing at a number of clubs in his native Spain. He has spent time in the lower divisions at Real Sociedad and Numancia, while also playing for Alfaro, CD Logrones, Lemona, Calahorra and Constancia. He scored 20 goals during the 2007-08 season for CD Lourdes.
The 6-3 forward trained with the Earthquakes earlier this season before signing with the team.
