
Earthquakes Partner with ShortForm to Present "Best of the Best Sweepstakes"

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes and ShortForm announced the launch of the "Best of the Best Sweepstakes" on Monday, a promotion that allows fans determine the best all-time goal in the Earthquakes history. Voting will be completed via the club's official Facebook page and on www.sjearthquakes.com from July 11 through July 16 with the sweepstakes winner to be announced on July 19.
Fans of the Earthquakes can access the contest on the San Jose Earthquakes Facebook Page or at www.sjearthquakes.com. The sweepstakes features a continuous stream of highlights from the best Quakes goals of all-time and a widget that allows fans to vote for their favorite. Once a vote has been logged, a leaderboard can be accessed that shows the leading vote-getters. Fans can also share the contest with their friends on Facebook. Participants will be entered into a drawing for a VIP Fan Experience for two for San Jose's July 20 game against Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
The Earthquakes partnered with ShortForm, a social and interactive video entertainment company, to implement the contest. ShortForm delivers continuous channels of the best videos from anywhere on the web, curated by a growing community of VJs. ShortForm's channels may be viewed on either ShortForm.com itself, or across the web through ShortForm's embeddable widget. ShortForm's tools allow publishers to quickly curate and embed relevant video channels on their properties.
