Earthquakes Face Sporting KC Today in Round One of the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (8th place) are facing Sporting Kansas City (1st place) in Round One of the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs today at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. The match, presented by Intermedia Cloud Communications, kicks off at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1, FOX Deportes, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
Today's match will mark the first meeting between San Jose and Kansas City this year. The Quakes and Sporting each finished the year on a 6-3-1 run over their last 10 matches, best in the Western Conference during that span.
San Jose has faced Kansas City in the MLS Cup Playoffs on two prior occasions (2003, 2004), advancing in 2003 and holding a 2-1-0 overall playoff record against them (2004 was a two-leg series). The Quakes hold a 12-12-1 all-time record in the playoffs, including a 4-9-0 record in true road matches.
