Eagles Remain on Top of Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll

For the fourth straight poll, the Northern Conference leading Colorado Eagles are the #1 team on the Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll once again earning 14 of the possible 16 first place votes (teams cannot vote for themselves). The Eagles are 34-7-2 and just had their 11-game point streak (10-0-1) snapped last night. They lead the Northwest Division by an amazing 20 points over the second place Rocky Mountain Rage and are 11 points in front of Bossier-Shreveport in the Northern Conference race. The other two first place votes went to the Southern Conference leading Odessa Jackalopes who moved up from #4 to #2 in the current poll.

Three teams moved up in the poll with the Jackalopes making the biggest move by jumping two spots. Bossier-Shreveport and Laredo also moved up one spot each. Dropping in the poll is Texas (#2 to #3), Oklahoma City (#3 to #4), Mississippi (#5 to #6), Rocky Mountain (#7 to #8).

The CHL Top 10 Coaches Poll will be released on or near the beginning and middle of each month through the regular season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place earns nine points, etc.
