The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Colorado Eagles goaltender Marco Emond is the recipient of week eight's Performance of the Week thanks to receiving close to 3,000 votes from the fans. Emond was outstanding in the Eagles 5-2 victory over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs on December 8th when he made 48 saves including stopping all 24 shots he faced in the third period.
The Valleyfield, Quebec native received 54% of the votes (2804) and won rather easily over the second place finisher (Mississippi's Aaron Davis netting a hat trick in the 5-1 victory over Youngstown on Dec. 8) who received 1101 votes.
