Eagles Host Charleston Battery this Saturday at 7pm

In the Eagles last game they lost a hard fought battle against the Orange County Blues FC. The game was the second of the men's and women's double header, the men's game started after a two hour rain delay. The game was evenly matched and Eagles goalkeeper Alec Kann played a big role in keeping the game scoreless though much of the second half, stopping eight of nine shots in the game, including a penalty shot taken by Blues Allan Russell. Unfortunately late in the second half Orange County's Jiovanni Santana (who had just been substituted into the game) netted the game-winner in the 80th minute.
The Battery's last game they hosted the LA Galaxy II at home and took a 3-0 victory which pushed them to 8th in the USL PRO Standings. The Battery's three goals came from Colin Falvey, Dane Kelly, and Haviel Cordoves. Cordoves currently leads the Battery in points with six coming from two goals and two assists.
The Eagles and Battery last faced off in the 2013 season where they played to a 2-2 draw with goals coming from Stephen Okai and Drew Yates for Charlotte and Haviel Cordoves and Dane Kelly for Charleston. The Eagles and Battery will face off twice in the regular 2014 season.
