Christian Meza found Christian Ramirez open at the back post for Charlotte's first goal of the night in the 3rd minute. In the 15th minute mark, Pittsburgh's Kevin Kerr tested Eric Reed with a chip but Reed was able to get a hand to it to keep it out of the net.
