HOUSTON - Dynamo Charities, the philanthropic arm of the Houston Dynamo Football Club, will host the grand opening of the two mini-pitches installed at Cloverland Park (3801 Hickok Lane, Houston, TX 77047) at 6 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

The mini-pitches at Cloverland Park are the fifth and sixth pitches installed as part of an initiative with the U.S. Soccer Foundation to create more safe places to play across Houston. Announced in December 2019, Current Dynamo minority owner Ben Guill and former minority owner Jake Silverstein are partnering with the U.S. Soccer Foundation to create 15 mini-pitches in underserved communities around Houston by 2024.

Wednesday's festivities include a soccer skills clinic hosted by Houston Dynamo FC Youth Programs coaches for children from US Soccer Foundation's Soccer for Success program. Dynamo Charities will also host the first Soccer Night Out of 2021, which includes appearances from Dynamo MFs Joe Corona and Memo Rodriguez and a variety of activities for families and kids of all ages. Activities include soccer darts, soccer billiards, giant Jenga and other soccer-themed contests.
