Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
Fabulous pitching set the tone for the Tri-City Dust Devils (11-12) at Gesa Stadium on Saturday night in front of over 3,000 fans as the team came away with the 3-0 victory over the Everett AquaSox (12-11). The shutout was the second of the season for the Dust Devils.
Olivier Basabe once again had a standout night at the plate. He registered his second straight three-hit performance, driving in two of Tri-City's three runs. Ramon Perez earned his first win of the season for the Dust Devils. The southpaw from Cuba had eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. Gabe Mosser slammed the door on the AquaSox in the top of the ninth inning to pick up the first save of his pro career.
Tri-City will send right-hander Angel Acevedo to the mound in the middle game of the three-game series on Sunday night. Everett will counter with left-hander Orlando Razo. The Lourdes Youth Clinic will be held prior the game, sponsored by Lourdes Health. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
