The Tri-City Dust Devils are pleased to announce the return of Ron Gideon as Field Manager of the Dust Devils for their upcoming 2004 season as assigned by their Major League affiliate, the Colorado Rockies.

Gideon returns for his 3rd consecutive tour of duty with the Dust Devils managing the ballclub. The Hallsville, Texas native is entering his 8th season managing in the Rockies organization.

Hitting coach Freddie Ocasio, pitching coach Butch Hughes, and trainer Scott Murayama will round out Gideon's field staff.

Hughes replaces 2003 pitching coach Mike Snyder and brings vast experience in the Northwest League as he managed the Yakima Bears during the 2000 season and led them to the Northwest League Championship. The Merced, California native has also previously managed in Italy and been involved in Professional Baseball for over 40 years in various capacities.

"I could not be more pleased with return of Ron, Freddie, and Scott to the ballclub," noted Dust Devils General Manager Brian Rogers.
