(September 8, 2010- CAMDEN, NJ) The Camden Riversharks were defeated in the second match up against the visiting Long Island Ducks. Jake Dittler earned the win and improved his record to (11-11). Derell McCall (0-6) suffered the loss.
The Ducks managed to string together two four run innings, one in the fourth and another during the seventh frame.
The fourth inning had Javier Colina and Matt Padgett both scoring on a pitcher's throwing error. Brendan Monaghan and Bridger Hunt were later driven in on a Matt Cavagnaro single, making the score 4-0.
Cavagnaro led off the seventh inning with a walk to get on base. Robinson Cancel followed with a single and two batters later, Colina hit a two run double. Matt Esquivel then proceeded to blast a two run homer over the backfield wall, to give Long Island a commanding 8-0 lead.
Cavagnaro again led off the next inning, this time with a single base hit. Cancel was then given a free pass to first during his at bat and both batters would score on consecutive put outs at first closing the game with a 10-0 win.
