Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque Fighting Saints and Rainbo Oil Company, the owner/operator of Kwik Stop, Dairy Queen, Fazoli's and Donut Boy, have come to an agreement on an expansive partnership agreement that will increase community engagement through the Clear the List Campaign, and increases fan perks with the Saves for Fuel Savings promotion during Saturday home games all season long.
"To be able to align the Fighting Saints with a Dubuque cornerstone company like Rainbo Oil only speaks volumes to what we can accomplish this season. Tessa Fahey and her team at Rainbo Oil have a passion for helping the community and we are excited to be an outlet to help them accomplish their goals," said Robert Miller, the Fighting Saints' President of Business Operations. "Not only does this partnership create an avenue for community outreach, but it also benefits every single Fighting Saints fan that attends our games this season. Saving money at the pumps and winning hockey games- does it get any better?"
The 2021-22 season will feature the Clear the List Campaign, which will provide relief to local teachers in need of school supplies. Prior to the game, Kwik Stop locations throughout the Dubuque area and the Fighting Saints office will feature collection bins for school supplies. The campaign will culminate in Clear the List Night, which will feature a collection bin for school supplies, and a 50/50 raffle in which all proceeds go towards the purchase of supplies and resources for local educators.
Saturdays have become Saves for Fuel Savings Saturdays, in celebration of the launch of Kwik Stop's Rewards Program. Fans will receive savings per gallon determined on how many saves a Fighting Saints goalie makes during the course of a Saturday game. Download the Kwik Stop App from the App Store or Google Play and receive immediate savings for signing up, plus, be ready for the Saves for Fuel Savings Saturdays throughout the 2021-22 season.
All second periods throughout the 2021-22 season will now be Rainbo Oil second periods. Each second period will feature promotions and games targeted on fan engagement. Rainbo Oil will also donate four tickets for all home games to the Fighting Saints Community Ticket Program, which donates tickets to local non-profits, underserved families and veterans, all throughout the Tri-State Area.
"We are excited to partner with the Dubuque Fighting Saints for the upcoming 2021-22 hockey season," said Tessa Fahey, Senior Manager at Rainbo Oil Company. "Whether they are on the ice or out in the community, the Saints are a great organization with a positive impact. Our teams look forward to working together this season. Let's go Saints!"
Kwik Stop, locally owned and community focused, has eleven locations throughout Dubuque and its surrounding areas. Not just a gas station and a convenience store, Kwik Stop's Kwik Care program has raised nearly $1.5 million towards local non-profits since 2002.
Be sure to download the new Kwik Stop App, which provides an instant 25 cents per gallon savings on your first fill up, up to 20 gallons, and three cents off per gallon on future gas station visits. New ways to increase your savings at the pump change every month, so check the app often.
