
DuBois Nets 4, as Wings Win 9-1

Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings beat the St. Cloud Norsemen to move into playoff contention with a dominant 9-1 win Friday night. Cole Moore was in net for the Wings making 20/21 saves. This win moves the Wings into fourth place in the Central Division which is in the final playoff spot. With one point or a win they'll clinch the playoffs.
In the first period the Wings got on the board with a goal coming from Owen Dubois which was the first of his monster game. The Wings were able to hold the Norsemen off from scoring which made it a 1-0 game at the end of the first period. Cole Moore saved all 10 shots he faced.
The second period the Wings were able to get on the board twice. The goals came from Owen Dubois which gave him his second on the night and the second goal of the period came from Kyle Contessa on the powerplay. The Wings outshot the Norsemen18 to 5 in the second period. Cole Moore once again stopped all 5 shots. The Wings led 3-0 at the end of the second period.
In the third period the Wings went on a scoring clinic, scoring 6 goals in the period. The Norsemen got on the board right away in the third with the goal coming from Hunter Hanson. The Wings then scored 6 unanswered goals. The first goal coming from Landon Parker, the second goal came from Zachary Reim with a short hand empty net goal from the opposite side of the rink. Then Patrick O'Connell scored for making it a 6-1 game. A few minutes later the Wings would scored 3 goals in the span of two minutes with Owen Dubois finishing the Hat Trick, Dylan Wegner scoring a minute later, then Owen Dubois once again getting his fourth on the night making it 9-1.
