
Dubinsky, Suzdalev, Svozil Attending 2022 NHL Training Camps

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is excited to announce that three players are headed to NHL training camps this fall: Cole Dubinsky (Edmonton Oilers), Alexander Suzdalev (Washington Capitals) and Stanislav Svozil (Columbus Blue Jackets).
Dubinsky, 19, tallied 49 points (20G-29A) in 61 games with the Pats last season, setting career highs in goals, assists and points. The Ardrossan, Alta. product enters his fifth and final full season with the Pats, where he has produced 96 points (36G-60A) in 192 career WHL games. The 5-foot-11, 192 lb. forward was drafted by the Pats in the fourth round (79th overall) in the 2017 WHL Prospects Draft.
Suzdalev, 18, was drafted by the Pats in the second round (95th overall) of the 2021 CHL Import Draft. The left-shot winger was selected in the third-round, 70th overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, following an impressive season with HV71 (Sweden-Jr.), where he led his club in scoring with 51 points (15G-36A) in 45 games and ranked 10th in Sweden's top junior league in points.
Born in Khabarovsk, Russia, Suzdalev moved to Sweden when he was seven years old after his father Anatoly Suzdalev had signed a bandy contract with Swedish bandy club, Vetlanda Bandyklubb. He holds dual citizenship, but has represented Sweden at the international level, winning a gold medal with Sweden at the 2022 IIHF World U18 Championships, skating in six games.
The Capitals signed the 2004-born winger to a three-year entry level contract on July 13 after attending their summer development camp.
Svozil, 19, recorded 41 points (10G-31A) in 59 games with the Pats last season. The Prerov, CZE product has represented Czechia at both the 2021 and 2022 World Juniors, scoring three points (1G-2A) in six games at this summer's World Juniors. The 6-foot-1, 182 lb. defenceman registered eight points (3G-5A) in 71 career games over two seasons with HC Kometa Brno in the Czech Extraliga, making his pro debut in 2019-20. That season, he was named the Czech Extraliga Rookie of the Year. He was chosen by the Blue Jackets in the third round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, 69th overall.
