
Drillers to Host Naturals and Cardinals in Upcoming Homestand

The Tulsa Drillers will return home to ONEOK Field on Thursday, August 1 to open up a seven-game homestand against a pair of Texas League North Division rivals. The Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals) will be in town from August 1-4, followed by a three-game series against the Springfield Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) from August 5-7.
Promotion highlights for the homestand will include a Los Petroleros Pint Glass giveaway on Thursday, August 1. On Sunday, August 4, the first 500 kids ages 12 and under will receive a Drillers Softee Ball. In addition, on August 2, it will be another fantastic Friday Night Fireworks postgame show at ONEOK Field.

The Drillers have been successful at ONEOK Field this season, going 30-23 in their first 53 home games. That mark includes a 5-3 record against Northwest Arkansas and a 7-2 record against Springfield. So far this season, Tulsa is a combined 21-15 against the Naturals and Cardinals.

Thursday, August 1 . . . Northwest Arkansas Naturals (7:05 PM) - Gates Open at 6:00 PM
MY41 THIRSTY THURSDAY / LOS PETROLEROS PINT GLASS GIVEAWAY
The Drillers will take the field as Los Petroleros de Tulsa as part of Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversion program. To help honor Tulsa's Hispanic community, the first 1,000 fans, 21 and over, to enter ONEOK Field through the Arvest or Oil Derrick gates will receive a voucher for a Los Petroleros Pint Glass, courtesy of Estrella Jalisco, My41 and 101.9 La Zeta. All fans who receive a voucher will receive the pint glass as they exit the ballpark. In addition, we will be offering Budweiser, Bud Light and soda for $2 per serving for Thirsty Thursday. Estrella Jalisco will also be available for $4.
Friday, August 2 . . . Northwest Arkansas Naturals (7:05 PM) - Gates Open at 6:00 PM
FOX23 FRIDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS / HISPANIC HERITAGE NIGHT
It will be another FOX23 Friday Night Fireworks that will feature a fantastic post-game fireworks show presented by FOX23 and K95.5. In addition, the Drillers will continue honoring Tulsa's Hispanic community as they will again take the field as Los Petroleros. To help celebrate Hispanic Heritage, the Beyana Band will be playing Latin Rock music in the Arvest Plaza from 6-7:00 PM and the Children's Ballet Folklorico Sol Azteca will be performing before the game. In addition, the Drillers will be taking part in Oklahoma's Tax-Free Weekend. All clothing items, priced $100 or less, in the team store will be tax-free for the weekend. Also, prior to the game, the Drillers will be holding a moment of silence for the late Drillers coach Mike Coolbaugh. Coolbaugh was killed by a foul ball during a game in July of 2007.
Saturday, August 3 . . . Northwest Arkansas Naturals (7:05 PM) - Gates Open at 6:00 PM
TULSA'S CHANNEL 8 GRAND SLAM SATURDAY / LUNCH BAG GIVEAWAY / MASCOT MANIA
The first 1,000 fans, ages 14 and under, will receive a Drillers Lunch Bag courtesy of Williams, Tulsa's Channel 8 and 98.5 KVOO. In addition, it will be Mascot Mania at the ballpark. Many of Hornsby's friends including Brix from the Oklahoma City Dodgers, Pistol Pete from Oklahoma State, Burnie from the Miami Heat, Boomer and Sooner from the University of Oklahoma, KC Wolf from the Kansas City Chiefs and many more will be here to entertain during the game. Also, as apart of Oklahoma's Tax-Free Weekend, all clothing items $100 or less in the team store will be tax-free.

2 WORKS FOR YOU KIDS EAT FREE SOUVENIR SUNDAY / SOFTEE BALL GIVEAWAY
It will be a great day for all young fans as all kids ages 12 and under will receive a Kids Eat Free Coupon when they enter the ballpark. The coupon will be redeemable for a free hot dog, a Hiland milk, a fruit cup and an ice cream sandwich. Also, the first 500 kids, ages 12 and under, will receive a Drillers Softee Ball. It is all courtesy of the Green Country Chevy Dealers, 2 Works for You and AM 1430 & AM 1300 The Buzz. This will also be fans last chance to get all clothing items priced under $100 in the team store tax-free.

MEGA MONEY MONDAY
The homestand continues with a chance for fans to win some serious cash, as much as $10,000! If certain events happen in the game, and you are the lucky fan, you will leave the ballpark with some cash, presented by McElroy Manufacturing and News Talk 102.3 & AM 740 KRMG. Fans 18 and older can sign up for free and must be in attendance to win.
Tuesday, August 6 . . . Springfield Cardinals (7:05 PM) - Gates Open at 6:00 PM
2 WORKS FOR YOU $2 TUESDAY
It will be another $2 Tuesday, brought to you by TulsaRecycles.com, 2 Works for You and Z104.5 The Edge. Fans can purchase General Admission Lawn Tickets for only $3 (includes $1 Oklahoma professional sports fee), while all other tickets are discounted $3 off normal prices. Fans can also buy hot dogs, boxes of popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream sandwiches and soft drinks for $2 each. In addition, everyone can save $2 on Mazzio's Go Pizzas. Lastly, Busch and Busch Light will be on sale for $2 per serving from 6-8 PM on the concourse behind home plate.
Wednesday, August 7 . . . Springfield Cardinals (7:05 PM) - Gates Open at 6:00 PM
BARK IN THE PARK
The homestand will wrap up with Bark in the Park, presented by City of Tulsa: Save our Streams, City Vet Hospital, 100.9 Totally Awesome 80's and 94.1 KXOJ. Fans are encouraged to bring their canine friends out to the ballpark to enjoy the game from the grass berm or Busch Terrace. Dogs with proper vaccination records will be admitted through the Arvest or Oil Derrick Entrances only.
