Dream looking for interns

April 8, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Salt Lake City Saints News Release

Salt Lake City, UT. Kenny Wamsley, CEO of the new ABA Salt Lake City Dream is looking for interns to fill several positions for his professional basketball team that begins play in November. According to Wamsley, "I just returned from an ABA League Meeting in Indianapolis and learned how many of the teams use college students to fill key positions in the areas of marketing, public relations, community relations, game day operations, radio/TV, websites and other key functions. My reaction was - if they can do it, so can I. We have some great schools here - BYU, Utah, Utah State, Weber State and others - and this is a way for young people to break into sports, learn the business, and make some money at the same time. I like it." For more information, email kennywamsley@yahoo.com or visit www.saltlakedream.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
