Dragons to Open Spring Training Camp Tomorrow

Dayton, OH - Dayton Dragons pitchers and catchers report to spring training in Sarasota, Florida tomorrow, March 5th. The balance of the club will report for the first full-squad spring training workout on March 10th. The Dragons are preparing for their 2009 Midwest League season opener on April 9th vs. the Great Lakes Loons.

Twenty-five Dragons players will be selected from among those participating in the Cincinnati Reds minor league spring training camp.

The Dragons and new manager Todd Benzinger will begin their spring training game schedule on Tuesday, March 17th against the Delmarva Shorebirds, an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The Dragons will break camp in Florida on April 5th.
