
Dragons Team Photographer Wins ESPN Photo Contest

DAYTON, OH - Dayton Dragons team photographer Nick Falzerano has been selected as one of five category winners in the ESPN the Magazine "The Shot" Sports Photography Contest. Falzerano was selected by a panel of judges as the winner in the "Mascots" category for his photograph of the Famous Chicken at Fifth Third Field.
A panel of nine judges made the winning selections. Judges included ESPN reporters Jeremy Schaap and Kenny Mayne, Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Dhani Jones, and Catriona Ni Aolai n, Director of Photography for ESPN the Magazine among others.
"Nick has done a fantastic job over the years capturing the essence of what it's like to attend a Dragons game in photographs," Robert Murphy, Team President said. "We couldn't agree more that he is one of the best sports photographers in the business and we're glad to have the chance to work with him every summer at Fifth Third Field."
The contest included five categories in which winners were selected by the panel of judges. Those categories were "Mascots," "Faces of the Game," "Fandemonium," "Next in Your Neighborhood," and "Zoom."
