The New York Dragons have named Chris Bauer as Director of Player Personnel. Bauer was formerly with the af2 2005 ArenaCup champion Memphis Xplorers and played a vital in their success.
"It was an honor to be offered this opportunity by Coach Harding and such a quality organization," said Bauer. "I hope to help build on the tremendous foundation established here on Long Island by Coach Harding and his staff."
Bauer began his career in the AFL in 1997 as an assistant to the Arena Football League's Director of Operations. The 1990 Bucknell graduate then joined the af2 New Haven Ninjas in 2002 as the Director of Player Personnel. In 2003, Bauer then moved to the af2 Mohegan Wolves as Director of Player Personnel/Special Teams Coach before spending 2004 as the Director of Scouting for the Indiana Firebirds of the AFL. In his first season as Director of Player Personnel for the af2 Memphis Xplorers in 2005, Bauer aided in leading the team to an ArenaCup Championship.
