Chicago Rush News Release

The ArenaBowl XX champion Chicago Rush will host its second annual coaching clinic for Chicagoland youth football coaches Tuesday, August 15, at the team's Hoffman Estates practice facility, Grand Sports Arena (formerly Poplar Creek Sports Centre). The free clinic will run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will be open to all local youth football coaches.

Rush head coach Mike Hohensee, along with Rush assistant coaches, players and support staff, will lead discussions and offer demonstrations on age-appropriate football drills, football strategy, preventing injuries and proper use of equipment.

"We received so much positive feedback about last year's coaching clinic, we decided to make it an annual event," said Rush president/general manager Mike Polisky. "We strive to support local youth football, and we believe the coaching clinic is a great way to assist the coaches and parents who volunteer their time to help nurture the next generation of football players.

"We hope our clinic will offer youth coaches additional information to better enrich the football experience of their kids."

Space for the clinic is limited. Youth football coaches wishing to attend should contact Rush community relations manager Laura Visin at (773) 243-3463 or lvisin@chicagorush.com no later than Friday, August 11.

Grand Sports Arena is located at 2350 Hassell Road in Hoffman Estates.

The Rush defeated the Orlando Predators 69-61 in June to capture the ArenaBowl XX title. The win capped an amazing playoff run in which the underdog Rush won three consecutive road games on its way to the championship game.

Season tickets for the 2007 season, which begins in January, are on sale now. Thanks to Discover Card, Rush season ticket prices are remaining unchanged for the 2007 season. To reserve your tickets, or for more information about Rush season tickets, fans can call the Rush at (877) Rush-Tix (787-4849) or visit the team's Web site at www.chicagorush.com.
