Dragons Hope To Advance To Final Eight In Logo Contest

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons' official team logo will be matched against the logo of the Jamestown Jammers on Tuesday, March 25th in the third round of the CNBC Minor League Baseball logo tournament. The winner will advance based on fan voting.

Dragons fans are encouraged to visit www.darrenrovell.com and click on MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL LOGO CONTEST-DAY TWELVE VOTING after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday and vote for the Dragons logo. Voting will continue until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The Dragons defeated the Midland Rockhounds on Thursday, receiving 59 percent of the more than 6,700 votes cast. The Dragons received 54 percent of the vote in their first round match-up, defeating the Evansville Otters.

The Dragons were chosen for the tournament as one of the 64 best logos in Minor League Baseball among more than 200 clubs. The single elimination tournament began last week. The Dragons are currently among 16 teams still in contention.

The minor league logo tournament is being conducted by CNBC Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell. It will conclude on March 31st.
