New York Dragons News Release

The New York Dragons announced today the signing of offensive lineman Greg Randall and wide receiver Keron Henry. The Dragons roster now reaches 37, the maximum number allowed heading into training camp.

Randall (6-6, 335) comes to the Dragons after spending four seasons in the NFL and playing in 51 career games. Randall started his professional career as a fourth-round 2000 draft pick of New England. After three years and 35 games with the Patriots, Randall then signed with the Texans and started in all 16 games at right tackle in the 2005 season. He was then pursued by the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins before signing with the 49ers who later released him.

The former Michigan State standout has never missed a game due to injury and also earned himself a Super Bowl ring in the 2002 Patriots 20-17 Super Bowl victory over St. Louis.

"Randall is a very important signing considering the rule changes in the AFL," said head coach Weylan Harding. "I feel he will provide the necessary competition and an upgrade in talent in the offensive line position to help take us to the next level. We wait for his arrival with eager anticipation."

Henry (6-1, 218), a Brooklyn native, comes to the Dragons after spending time in the NFL and NFL Europe. In 2005, he was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent and later signed with San Diego following the 2005 season. In 2006, Henry was allocated to the Berlin Thunder of the NFLEL where he recorded 14 receptions for 148 yards. He later signed with the New England Patriots following his release from San Diego. In his college career, the University of Connecticut stand-out recorded 111 receptions for 1,615 yards and nine touchdowns. He started his career with the Huskies at quarterback but made a transition to wide-receiver midway through the season in his second year. He became the third player in school history to run, pass, and catch a touchdown.

"Keron is a very talented athlete who is coming in to provide competition at one of our stronger spots on the team," said Harding. "From the time we saw him at the Patriots camp, we thought he was a guy who could come in and do great in the arena game. I look forward to seeing how he will add to our receiving corps and make the strong even stronger."
