Double win for Lady Phantoms

Hampstead, NH, June 27 - The New Hampshire Lady Phantoms enjoyed a victorious weekend winning both of their USL-W games. First on Saturday they won at South Jersey Banshees 3:2. Less than 24 hours later the Lady Phantoms took important home win against the New York Magic 1:0.

Shelby Crabtree had an excellent game for the 3:2 win over the South Jersey Banshees. She scored the decisive goal in the 73rd minute from the penalty spot. Before that Crabtree had set up Kelly Collins for the first goal. Alice Palazola was also on target for the Lady Phantoms. Lauren Keating was in goal for that game, she made 8 saves.

Laura Hislop scored the only goal against the New York Magic on Sunday. She netted in the 20th minute. Regular starter Jenna Mello was in goal and she pulled out 8 saves to keep a clean sheet. With the six points won the New Hampshire team is just a point behind the New York Magic. The Lady Phantoms have 9 points but have played a game less than the New York Magic. The South Jersey Banshees are bottom rock with 9 defeats from 9 games.

The Lady Phantoms have a chance to extend their winning run on Tuesday 28th June when they entertain the Vermont Lady Voltage in another USL-W game. Kick off is at 5 pm at the George Larkin field on the campus of SNHU in Manchester. Head coach Elie Monteiro said: "We play well at home and have a chance to add another win to the two from the past weekend. We have to that in order to keep our chances for the playoffs alive!"
