Rio Grande Valley Dorados News Release

Hidalgo, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Dorados face their toughest challenge of the early season this Saturday night when they host the 3-0 Arkansas Twisters in a Midwest Division battle. Kickoff at Obra Homes Field at Dodge Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.

The game features two of the top quarterbacks in af2 statistics in Rio's Josh Kellett and Arkansas' Walter Church. Kellett and Church are in the top 10 of a number of categories, most notably passing TD's. Church leads the league with 22, while Kellett is fourth with 16. Church is third overall with 811 passing yards, while Kellett is right behind him with 779.

Church will look to Robert Kilow, who is tied for second overall with seven TD receptions, while Kellett has Dwight Counter and Mel Long as options. Counter (22) and Long (18) have 40 catches between them for nine TD's.

Kellett will have to keep CJ McLain (3) and Steve Watson (2) on his radar, as the defensive pair has a combined five unassisted sacks and are first and second overall in the league in that category. Brent Withers has been the top defensive player for Rio, posting 22 solo tackles (second in the league) and averaging 7.8 tackles per game.

This week's game will be broadcast locally on Televisa (XERV-9, cable 19) with Rich Bocchini and Dennis Scott on the call. Alex Del Barrio has the radio call on ESPN Radio 1240.

Individual tickets are on sale now with prices beginning at $13, while season tickets start at just $104. Season tickets and corporate sponsorships are available now by calling (956)-843-7825. Visit www.doradosfootball.com for more information.
