TULSA, Okla. December 22, 2007 - The Tulsa 66ers have teamed up with one of the city's most distinguished event orchestrators, The Black Diamonds, to premiere the hottest event to hit the Tulsa sports scene. "The Experience" is an afternoon of basketball entertainment coupled with a chic pre New Year's Eve holiday celebration.
"The Experience" begins December 30, 3007 at 3 p.m. in the Pavilion when the Tulsa 66ers take on the Austin Toros. Halftime entertainment includes a tribute to Michael Jackson performed by A Pocket Full of Hope.
A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go to support A Pocket Full of Hope. This organization is dedicated to helping youth move from a negative peer culture to a positive one thus positively influencing their life and our community. The youth are given the opportunity to empower themselves in a non-threatening, participatory and inclusive atmosphere using music, theatre and dance.
"The Experience VIP Party" held at Templ, located at 412 E. 2nd St., beginning at 9 p.m. on Sunday night, is an elite event inviting VIP players to live it up at Tulsa's only upscale lounge with some of the hottest heavy hitters in the area.
Tickets are available in three categories:
VIP Access - $100; which includes a game ticket, special VIP game seating, soft drinks during the game, unlimited massages and shoe shine at the game, special VIP lounge at "The Experience VIP Party" with champagne, unlimited access to Tulsa 66ers key players, and one (1) Tulsa 66ers t-shirt.
Holiday Suite - $20; which includes a game ticket, special VIP game seating, soft drinks during the game, massages and shoe shine during the game, and general admission to "The Experience VIP Party".
General Admission - $10; which includes a game ticket and general admission to "The Experience VIP Party".
To take advantage of all the excitement, Kesha "Ya Daytime Diva" will bring back her infamous crank dat souljah boy contest in honor of this event at the party. On-air personality, Ramal "The Hometown Heat," will serve as the color analyst of the basketball game and official host of "The Experience VIP Party", with DJ JB Smoove (www.djjbsmoove.com) on the 1's and 2's.
