JOLIET, IL - The Joliet Area Young Professionals organization named Joliet JackHammers and ESPN Radio 1000 broadcaster Bryan Dolgin as the Joliet Area Young Professional of the Year. He will be honored at the JAYP annual dinner on Wednesday, October 18 at Republic Hall in Joliet.

Dolgin made his return to the JackHammers broadcast booth in 2006 broadcasting radio/television play-by-play and color commentary of home games and select road games. Prior to calling Northern League baseball at night, Dolgin spent his weekday mornings as the Sportscenter Anchor on ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago broadcasting the sports updates every 20 minutes from 6 am until 11 am. He continues to be heard during the morning commute on ESPN Radio 1000.

Since the beginning of last October, Dolgin was the pre/post game show host for the Chicago White Sox and the first world championship in Chicago since 1917. He also hosted Chicago Baseball Tonight which followed the Sox post game shows. Since the end of that baseball season, Dolgin has been heard on ESPN Radio 1000 shows as Baseball 365 and A Piece of Piersall. In addition to baseball, Dolgin hosted the pre/half/post game shows for Notre Dame men's basketball followed by the final month of the Chicago Bulls regular season and playoff series.

Dolgin has called play-by-play of minor league baseball for eight seasons including the first three seasons and the most recent of JackHammers baseball. The games are heard on 1340 WJOL and home games were simulcast on local cable television Channel 6. Dolgin was the JackHammers first play-by-play voice and director of broadcasting/media relations.
