Lancaster JetHawks News Release
Los Angeles Dodgers closer Yhency Brazoban is scheduled to pitch against the Lancaster JetHawks tonight as part of a rehabilitation assignment. The pitcher is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is making just his second game appearance since the operation. The rain in Southern California passed through Lancaster but will not delay tonight's game. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 and great tickets are still available at the Clear Channel Stadium Box Office. The first 1,000 thousand will receive a free JetHawks player poster!
Brazoban took over from injured closer Eric Gagne of the Dodgers in 2005, setting a Dodgers rookie record with 21 saves and appearing in 74 games for Los Angeles. The 26 year-old from the Dominican Republic suffered the elbow injury in 2006, missing all but five games. Brazoban began throwing in spring training, and made his 2007 debut for Inland Empire earlier this week, pitching a perfect inning. He is scheduled to appear in relief tonight and pitch two innings.
