Vero Beach Devil Rays News Release

(Vero Beach, FL) - Two to three thousand fans had piled into Holman Stadium in Vero Beach Saturday night and were primed to watch the first place Dodgers take on Brevard County with a post-game fireworks display to follow. Then...the rains came - again.

Brevard County scored a pair of runs in the top of the first inning against RHP Casey Hoorelbeke, and before the Dodgers could answer, the rains came and caused the suspension of the game. The contest will be continued Wednesday night as part of a double-header at Holman Stadium.

After an off day on Sunday, the Dodgers travel to Port St. Lucie on Monday for a twin-bill starting at 5:00 PM. You can hear that game on AM-1490 WTTB.
