Dirt Dawgs Fall To Silver Knights 5-2

Nashua, NH - The Dirt Dawgs drop their 5th straight game falling to the Nashua Silver Knights 5-2.

Dirt Dawgs starter Joey Gaouette (College of William & Mary), went six innings allowing three runs (all earned) on nine hits, seven strikeouts, and two walks. He received the loss for his efforts.

Connor Lyons (Northeastern) and Johnny Adams (Boston College) both doubled in the second to give Nashua a 3-0 lead.

All of the Dirt Dawgs runs came in the third inning with help from Josh Raymond (Judson University), who hit a sac fly to score Kevin Marciano (WNEU), and Nate Pajka (Bates College) scored on a wild pitch.

The Dirt Dawgs look to get momentum rolling again with 3 games in 2 days at home with a doubleheader Saturday 7/27 against the Raging Tide and Sunday 7/28 against the Torrington Titans.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs play at historic, and newly renovated, Doyle Field in Leominster, MA and are a 2012 expansion franchise in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.
