Amarillo Dillas News Release

AMARILLO, TX - How does the new lease affect the Dillas long-term future? Having played against Pete Rose do you feel he should be enshrined in Cooperstown? What different things can fans expect to see at the ballpark next year? Where did Jonathan Reynoso go and can we expect to ever see him in a Dillas uniform again? The Dillas need better pitching how will the team address this issue? In your opinion how has steroid use affected the game?

The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club announced today the unveiling of their new Q&A fan forum where fans and area residents can get an inside perspective on the Amarillo Dillas as well as, to ask former major league pitcher and current Dillas GM Mark Lee questions about the game of baseball, both past and present. Ask the ordinary or the extraordinary to get answers to your burning questions. The gloves come off when fans ask anything and everything about the Dillas or just ask questions about the game of baseball and get answers to give outsiders an inside view, from someone who has been inside the ropes.

Beginning Monday, December 7th fans can begin asking their questions through email by submitting them to amarillo.dillas@yahoo.com. And then starting on Friday, January 8, 2010, Dillas General Manager will post his answers on the front page of the teams' website at myamarillodillas.com.

Every Friday, starting in early January, the former big leaguer, best known as "The Vulture" during his playing days, will answer the first eight (8) questions submitted by fans every week, to the "Dillas Inbox". This unique all-access forum will run through the end of the Dillas 2010 season including the post season. "We (Dillas) are constantly trying to find ways for our fans to be heard", Dillas Assistant General Manager Dave Kost said. "We wanted to create a forum where fans and residents can express thoughts and ask questions about their baseball team and more importantly, get answers that provide them with an inside look at our organization", Kost added.

For some people inside the baseball community, this approach may be considered too revealing of the inner workings of a professional sports organization, but the Dillas pride themselves on being a loyal community partner and feel that, because of this commitment they are not immune to public opinion. "Everyone has heard the age-old saying that there is always three sides to every story your side, their side, and the truth well, this forum will allow expression of all three", Kost said.

Everyone who submits a question will receive two (2) Fan Flex Tickets to be guests of the Dillas during any regular season home game. To receive your tickets, inquiring minds will need to provide their full name and mailing address along with their question for the Dillas at amarillo.dillas@yahoo.com. Only the first name and first letter of the last name will be used in the forum to protect the privacy of individuals. Tickets will be mailed directly to homes or place of business beginning May 1, 2010.

The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club is a charter member of United League Baseball, a Professional Independent League, with six teams playing in Texas. ULB teams are located in Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, and San Angelo.
