Dickey Broadcasting Company and Georgia Swarm Sign Flagship Deal

?ATLANTA, GA - Dickey Broadcasting Company and the Georgia Swarm Pro Lacrosse team have officially signed a one-year deal to deliver the first-ever professional lacrosse radio broadcasts in the state of Georgia.
Dickey Broadcasting Company is now the official flagship station of the Georgia Swarm, and all home games throughout the 2017-2018 season will air live on 1230AM/106.3FM The Fan 2, and streaming online or your smart phone at 1230thefan2.com. The partnership will give local fans the ability to listen to the Swarm on a regular basis.
"We've seen great results in partnering with 680 The Fan, and adding live broadcasts of Swarm home games on The Fan 2 (1230AM/106.3FM) will only increase our footprint in the metro Atlanta area," Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. Our partnership continues to evolve and this broadcast deal is exciting not only for the Swarm, but also for fans wanting to follow this championship team more closely."

The Georgia Swarm Pro Lacrosse team is a member of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), which is North America's professional indoor lacrosse league featuring the best players in the world. In 2017, the Swarm became NLL World Champions after a historic 17-5 season. Founded in 1986, the NLL ranks third in average attendance for professional indoor sports worldwide behind only the NHL and NBA. The league is comprised of 11 franchises across the U.S. and Canada and the 2017-18 NLL season marks the league's 32nd year. The Swarm competes in an 18-game regular season schedule from December to April, and plays their home games at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Field at Infinite Energy Arena (Duluth). Georgia's 2017-18 Home Opener is set for Saturday, Dec. 30 against the Rochester Knighthawks at 7:05 p.m. and the team will also raise its Championship Banner that evening.
