Victoria Salmon Kings News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings coaching staff are happy to announce the naming of defenseman Brad Dexter as the first captain in team history.
Dexter is tied for first in the ECHL scoring for a defenseman after 23 games, with 6 goals and 16 assists for 22 points. Dexter has played in every key situation for Coach Bryan Maxwell and has often logged over 30 minutes a game. Brad was awarded the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for December 6-12.
Brad's outstanding play made the decision easier on the coaching staff, though with so many past captains on the hockey club this is a tremendous honour for the 32 year old native of Brockville, Ontario.
